Day 0: Arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) transfer to the hotel in Arusha

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro airport (JRO), a transfer car will be waiting for you then transfer you to The Outpost Lodge in Arusha for overnight, on bed and breakfast.

Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, our driver-guide will pick you up from the lodge at 07:00 am then drive to Manyara Park with packed lunch (about 2 hours’ drive). A game drive looking for Manyara’s famous tree climbing lions, Explore the lakeside – you will see a million Lesser East African Flamingos, which make the lake look pink. Leave the park in the late afternoon then transfer to Bougainvillea Safari Lodge in Karatu village for overnight on full-board.

Day 2: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast at 07:00 am then depart for Serengeti National Park with an amazing game viewing through Ngorongoro Conservation Area and packed lunch. You may choose to have a short stop at Olduvai Gorge for a visit to the early hominid museum ($35.4 pp for adults & $11.8 pp for a child extra). This area is the Maasai homeland and you will pass several villages en route. Enter Serengeti with a game drive in Seronera Plain before settling at Mbugani Camp for dinner and overnight, on full board.

Day 3: Full day Serengeti National Park

A full day of game drive to explore the Serengeti. Although predicting the movements of the famous wildebeest migration is not an exact science, you have an excellent chance of seeing this unforgettable spectacle in Seronera plain & central Serengeti at this time of year. Look for the ‘big five’ as well as Zebra and the myriad smaller creatures which make each safari unique! Based at Mbugani Camp, on full board.

Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Early start, depart for a final game drive in Serengeti National Park. Leave the park at noon then drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with game viewing and picnic lunch en route. Settling at Rhino Lodge where you will overnight on full-board.

Day 5: Tour in Ngorongoro Crater then transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for departure flight

Early breakfast at the camp then transfer to the crater rim around 7am. Descend the 600 meters down into the crater floor for a game drive to explore the crater with picnic lunch. The crater is famous for its large mammal populations-keep an eye out for the elusive black rhino; there are around 20 in the crater. Most of the elephant you see will be bulls as females tend to avoid the area due to its having the highest predator density in Africa. Leave the crater around 1pm then transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch your onward flight.
