A true wildlife and scenery spectacle – this is a great time of year to visit as the lodges have lower prices, rain does not usually hamper your safari as it generally comes at night.
Arusha, the starting point for most Northern circuit safaris is just a short drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport.
We offer trips to all of Northern Tanzania’s National parks and will happily adjust this itinerary to suit your preferences – just let us know what you need. Alternative activities around Arusha include: mountain biking, horse riding and cultural tours.

Day 1: Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, transfer to Arusha.
on arrival you will be met and transferred to Moivaro Coffee Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2 : Drive from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
Our driver-guide will pick you up 8am then drive to Lake Manyara Park with packed lunch (about 2 hours drive). Settle into Isoitok Camp for lunch, dinner & overnight, on full-board. We will enjoy a few drinks and some birdwatching at camp then hike into the hills behind the camp. There are zebra and eland but no lions or buffalo. This place is one of the most beautiful places to watch sunset over the Rift Valley Escarpment. Dinner and overnight at Isoitok
Day 3: Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, enjoy a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, looking for Manyara’s famous tree climbing lions. Explore the lakeside – you will see a million Lesser East African Flamingos, which make the lake look pink. Picnic lunch near the hot springs. Leave the park in the late afternoon then leave Lake Manyara and transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a highland short drive.. Transfer to Rhino Lodge for overnight, on full board.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater tour then drive to Serengeti National Park
Early breakfast then transfer to the crater rim. Descend the 600 meters down into the crater floor for a game drive to explore the crater. The crater is famous for its large mammal populations-keep an eye out for the elusive black rhino; there are around 20 in the crater. Most of the elephant you see will be bulls as females tend to avoid the area due to its having the highest predator density in Africa. Leave the crater at noon then drive to Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch en route. You will have an amazing game viewing in Ngorongoro Conservation Area before enter the Serengeti. This area is Maasai homeland and you will pass by a number of villages en route.
Enter the Serengeti with a game drive in Seronera plain, ending at Serengeti Sopa Lodge before dinner and overnight, on full-board.
Day 5 & 6: Full days Serengeti National Park
Two full days exploring Serengeti National Park with game drives. You may choose to take picnic lunch from the lodge or return to the lodge for hot lunch then depart for afternoon game drive. Although predicting the movements of the famous wildebeest migration is not an exact science, you have an excellent chance of seeing this unforgettable spectacle in Seronera plain at this time of year. Look for the ‘big five’ as well as Zebra and the myriad smaller creatures which make each safari unique! Based at Serengeti Sopa Lodge, on full-board.
Day 7: Serengeti to Lake Natron
Early breakfast depart for Lake Natron with a game drive en route. Lake Natron is one of the most alkaline Lakes in the world. Home to millions of tiny crustaceans, the Lake Natron is also a haven for literally thousands of lesser Flamingo’s and it is one of the most important breeding point of Flamingo on earth. Check in at the camp then later depart for a walk at Ngare Sero waterfalls. You will also have a view of the active volcano Mount Oldoinyo Lengai which known by Masai tribe “Mountain of God” the only active carbonatite volcano in the World and witness the sunset. Return to Ngaresero Camp before dinner and overnight, on full board.
Day 8: Full day Lake Natron
Full day exploring Lake Natron area, hike to the waterfalls down a spectacular gully and visit the lake itself. After lunch enjoy spectacular views whilst relaxing by the natural swimming pool at the lodge. Ngaresero Camp dinner and overnight, on full board.
Day 9: Lake Natron to Arusha
After breakfast transfer to Arusha and then on to KIA for your flight home or to fly to Zanzibar for some beach time as you prefer.
