Tanzania's Northern Safari Circuit includes some of the most famous and remarkable sights in the world, such as the annual Wildebeest Migration and the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater.
Climb Kilimanjaro Africa's highest mountain! Kilimanjaro National Park protects the entire Tanzanian part of the mountain, above the 2700m contour line. Reaching an altitude of 5895m Mt Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa. Towering a full 5km above the surrounding plains, Kilimanjaro is the world's largest free standing entity, and the highest mountain that can be ascended by reasonably fit people without climbing equipment or experience.
There are several different routes up Kilimanjaro. Marangu is the only route with huts providing reasonably comfortable accommodation with bathing water every night. It is the most popular route, often referred to as the 'Coca-Cola' route (soft drinks are often available at the huts). This is the only route which can be done in five days, although six days are recommended to aid acclimatisation. The drawback of Marungu is that it is busy and can feel overcrowded. For this reason we generally avoid the Marangu Route, but if you are interested please contact us.
Machame, also very popular, is a very scenic route, with great views over to Mt Meru. Mweka is the steepest route and has an increased risk of altitude sickness, so it is only recommended as a descent route.
Other routes are Lemosho, Shira, Rongai and Umbwe.
After Climbing Kilimanjaro it is possible to visit the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti as part of a classic Northern Circuit safari.

All the Parks visited are really wonderful, especially Ruaha and the "king" Katavi that worth absolutely the long trip (at least in our point of view). Yahaya and Salim are like two friends.
