Game Driving

Game Driving

Game driving is the most common Tanzanian safari activity as it allows you to cover a large area in a relatively small amount of time. Your driver guide will point out various interesting animals and birds as you head out into the wilderness. From your elevated position keep your eyes open for vultures in the sky that may signpost a kill.

Our game drive vehicles are all 4x4 capable, either Landrovers or Landcruisers and come with or without a canopy. Without the canopy you get a better view of the sky so this is superior for birdwatching.

Typically we start our game drives at first light and watch the sunrise across the bush. This is a magnificent sight and well worth getting up early for. Then we have a a couple of hours driving around looking kills before returning for breakfast. We usually relax with a good view and a pair of binoculars before going our again around 4pm for the evenings activity. We will watch the sunset somewhere picturesque and return before dark for dinner and overnight.
